• The technology level of this world is slightly advanced. Imagine a technological future very similar to our own, everyone carries some bit of technology, whether a phone, internet, or music device. Virtual reality is not yet common place but has become a popular past time among the well-off. Theatres show movies in three dimensional holographics and a person's whole identity can be stored on a micro-chip.

• As with technology , the feel of Emried is similar to our own world, however, most tropes may be taken to extremes. The clean and pristine neighborhoods for the rich and famous, downtowns covered with electronic advertisements and expensive shops where every building is a gleaming white and stainless steel cathedral to the darker sides of town where filth roams and murder is hardly noticed. The two sides rarely meet, but when they do the clash is catastrophic. Technology is much less of a staple in the refugee camps and the human only areas and they generally support a much less futuristic feel, some may even feel somewhat barbaric comparatively.
