Face Claim: Death the Kid, Soul Eater
-0-
Age & Birthday: 18, 7/7
-0-
Gender: Male
-0-
Specialty:
- Skilled Gunman - Naturally, Kid is very skilled with guns as he uses the Twin Demon Guns as his weapons of choice. He holds his weapons in an unorthodox manner. The guns are held upside-down, with his pinkies used to pull the triggers.
- He has a flight-capable skateboard called Beelzebub, which he uses as a form of short distance transportation, though it could be used for long distance as well
- Inhuman Physical Skill - Kid is both strong for his size, and quite an athlete. He is rather fast on his feet, although his true potential speed is unknown, seeing as he ran 100 meters in 8 seconds on purpose so he could get 8-seconds flat. He is also capable of jumping more than two stories in the air - through simply jumping or backflipping.
- Soul Perception - Kid is able to see the soul of other living creatures
- As a Shinigami, Kid's potential power is very high. However, the details of Kid's, or his father's, nature as Shinigami have not been revealed. Both share a skull motif and dark, vaguely monstrous, shadows appear around them when either use their abilities
- Kid's body is that of a Shinigami, so many things that affect the human body are trivial to him. He is unaffected by most weather conditions such as the UV Rays the sun emits which can be harmful to the average person. He is also unaffected by natural poisons, relevant because he attempted to dye his hair in order to remove the three white lines but failed. He is able to survive attacks that would kill normal human beings, suggesting that he is immortal unless another being with the power of a god (like his father) attacked him
- Sanzu Lines - Not much is known about the Sanzu Lines, other than they are represented by the white lines in Kid's hair. He hasn't been able to fully control the Sanzu Lines, but we know that he unlocks great powers when he does. He also showcased new abilities, like upgrading the caliber of Patti and Liz's shots from .38 to .42 and changing their gun shapes to visually. The first to connect is the middle one, followed by the lower one, then finally the top if he ever connects the third.
- Shadow Skull Arms: Similar to his father, Kid is able to produce black skull-like arms out of his body, although they seem to be slightly smaller than his father's version. Unlike his father, Kid has only used the arms once, for a supportive purpose rather than an offensive one. He is able to re-attach his limbs, even, using these, but only after connecting the first Sanzu Line.
- Konso - Kid is able to store souls of the deceased within his body for later use.
- Stance of Sin - This is a fighting style which focuses on landing strong blows and kicks. In this stance, Kid's body is turned to the side. His right arm is pointed up towards the sky while his other arm is pointed to the ground. He also moves at a faster pace, often catching the opponent off guard. As opposed to his normal long-ranged tactics, Kid fights in a more close range way, resulting in more damage with his weapons and physical attacks. This fighting style is usually used for hand to hand combat but Kid has been seen to incorporate his guns.
- Stance of Punishment - This fighting style is more defensive than Kid's previously displayed Stance of Sin, allowing Kid to use techniques similar to his father's own skull shields to block attacks, which he name as Death Arm Blocking. He is able to assume this position after connecting the first Sanzu Line.
- Stance of Mad Crime - Unlike previous demonstrations of similar techniques, Kid not only needs to continually maintain the connection of a singular Line of Sanzu throughout to utilize this style but he also needs to be currently under the influence of madness just to initiate it. The fighting style itself displays a brutal efficiency not observed thus far, when delivering vicious blows of various natures directly to the adversary's body, regardless of what type of defense they may mount in response. This capability relies on Kid's proficient agility and dexterity with both his hands and feet, in order to fluidly launch a decisive counter-attack if any strike is blocked, while retaining the ability to fully exploit any openings that such a feat may expose.
- Death Cannon - Kid's Soul Resonance attack. When activated, Kid's lower arms are covered with metal and resemble cannon barrels. Three black spikes come out of each of the upper arms. He then charges his attack and fires two giant blasts of energy from the cannons that impact with the opponent, leaving behind a series of skull shaped smoke. In the anime, after all three Sanzu Lines connected when Kid was near death, his Death Cannon became two oversized cannon barrels, shooting a soul wavelength strong enough to destroy the larger-than-life Asura and reverting him back to his original form.
- Dark Needle - A seldom seen attack of Kid's that is also one of his most powerful. A giant black blast that leaves behind a series of skull-shaped smoke.
- Death Ride - This is not necessarily an attack itself. He uses it when he rides down railings and the like with Beezlebub.
- Tornado Flip - Kid launches his skateboard, spinning, at an opponent, possibly cutting them in half.
- Sanzu Fall Shot - A technique used while the Second Sanzu Line is connected using the power of BREW. Kid brings his arms up while firing and brings them down until he splits them, his arms parallel with the ground. The stream that is fired down can be used to strike multiple targets at once
- Madness Release - a technique characterized by the selective integration and application of a finite and limited quantity of the dangerous condition of madness into a person's respective soul, altering the quality of their Soul Wavelengths ordinarily emitted to contain instead the intended and permitted amount of insanity in addition. Undertaking this perilous process allows the user to manipulate the advantageous power-inducing attribute displayed by madness itself, granting them access to superhuman levels of physical prowess and their typical abilities. The madness in them is strong enough to even change their appearance. Each user of Madness Release has a unique variant of madness inside them, and although they utilize this madness and become, in a sense, 'insane,' they do not completely lose their sanity as they have a firm conviction that prevents them from doing so. Death the Kid's particular variant of this technique utilizes the madness inside him, the 'Madness of Order,' the desire for order raised to the very extremes. This is prominently featured within his distinctive personality. At first, Kid is overwhelmed by this madness and is bent on creating a world of 'nothingness' which surpasses all ideas of symmetry and balance. However, this is eventually overcome by the conclusion that ultimate order can only be achieved when there exists a harmonious coexistence between all things or, expressed in simpler terms, a 'balance,' and Kid is finally able to use Madness Release without losing his sanity. While the ability is in effect, Kid's attire alters drastically due to the addition of a long-sleeved black shirt in the place of his current clothing, which is adorned by the presence of three horizontal white stripes equally distributed along the entirety of the tops length, and accompanied by a simple ruffled cravat worn around the neck. Some of the Lines of Sanzu he has also connect, and he is able to unleash a greater amount of power within them. Death the Kid describes his insanity as a 'cool killing intent.'
- Parent's Seven Rays - one of Death the Kid's most powerful moves, that can only be utilized through the prior connection of two of the Lines of Sanzu that are displayed within his hair. It is performed by conducting a Soul Resonance with Liz and Patti. A potential requirement may be that Liz and Patti need to be in their Death Eagle .42 mode in order to use this move, however, this has not been expressly stated.

Hair Colour: Black with three white lines of Sanzu only on the left side of his head (when unconnected. When they connect, they encircle his entire head)
Eye Colour: Two-toned gold. The outter rim is a light gold while the rim closer to his pupil is a dark gold.
Height & Weight: 5 feet 8 inches, 144 pounds
Distinguishing Marks: Lines of Sanzu, two-toned eyes
General Appearance: From a first glance, Death the Kid is clearly not one would classify as ‘normal’ unless they mixed a bit of goth in with a strange sense of proper, sensible dress for elegance combined with the most bizzare hairstyles imagineable. Starting from the top, Kid’s hair is perhaps his most interesting feature. For the most part, it is primarily black, although on the left side alone, it has three white stripes called Sanzu Lines. He hates these lines for the asymmetry they pose on his appearance, but he can do nothing to hide them. At certain times, when needed, they activate and connect ( and form solid lines around his head) one at a time without his conscious doing. However, he is slowly working on being able to control this. Standing at 5 feet 8 inches and not yet done growing, he’s not exactly what one would call short, and he has a rather lanky figure. He has pale skin and eyes close to as interesting as his hair. His eyes are two tones of gold, a lighter gold around the outside, then closer to the people the gold darkens into a warmer color, although his intense gaze makes him come across as intimidating at times.
His typical dress consists of a white dress shirt with black suspenders, covered by a black suit-jacket that has four horizontal white bands over each shoulder, and four thick horizontal bands down the middle of the front of his jacket. He wears plain black pants and black dress shoes that only have three inches of holes to lace. On his collar, he wears a silver metal collarpeice sporting his father’s skull mask. This collarpeice matches the two three-banded rings he wears on his middle fingers, the ‘teeth’ of the skull pointing downwards.
On occasion, he will don an entirely black hooded cape that seems to compress his body and make him appear very narrow and almost two-dimensional. His face, in this dress, is covered by a skull mask identical to his father’s.

- Actually views Black*Star as a friend and rival more than an annoyance
Overall Personality: Kid suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder, or OCD, which is manifested as an obsession over symmetry, balance, and order. Things – people included - must be perfectly symmetric lest something unknown and awful happen (more likely a breakdown or berserker rage on Kid’s part). Thus, if anything is off by any measurement (a picture frame off by millimeter, a pose that is slightly out of place, or even so much as him forgetting if he folded the toilet paper ends into a right triangle), he will try to correct it right away, even at the expense of a mission or current job at hand. His favorite number is 8, not only for its symmetry, but for the fact it divides out evenly. He is so obsessed with symmetry that Kid refuses to fight a battle unless he has both Patti and Liz together, as he would be asymmetrical holding just one. The fact that the left half of kid's bangs are marked with three white stripes causes him much stress. He has attempted to dye his hair all black to cover these asymmetric Sanzu Lines; however, due to his body being that of a Shinigami, it rejects the hair dye and soon returns to normal.
Showing Kid anything that is too asymmetrical or mentioning his hair will send him into an episode of massive anxiety or depression, which normally requires encouragement from Patti and Liz to break. In the most extreme of cases, Kid will cough up blood and faint (such as when his hair is cut in his fight with Black*Star and Soul). However this obsession does not just leave him weak. If he sees anything perfect or symmetrical get broken or destroyed, or if an opponent is severely asymmetrical, it will send Kid into a blind rage (surprisingly similar to his father's previous violent personality) where he will unload a full portion of his power to either destroy the offensive sight or person. This extreme obsession is why Kid finds Liz and Patti's symmetric weapon forms so appealing. Because Kid was born a Shinigami it was never required that he train a weapon, and he was offered many partnerships but he rejected them all since none would allow him to keep his symmetry.
His obsessive-compulsive outbursts aside, Kid is actually a fairly sophisticated character. He is even smart and cool-headed in battle (if symmetry doesn't enter his mind). There is also a boyish side to him too. He does tricks on his skate board, plays basketball, and will even crash in to a boat with Patti. He doesn't appear to have any problem socializing and genuinely cares for his friends. It is mentioned by Maka that it is normally hard to match soul wavelengths with more than one weapon, but Kid as a skilled meister is able to do so since Liz, and Patti have a strong connection with each other and admiration for Kid who gave them a better life.

Character History:Not much is known about Death the Kid’s history. He was raised by his father from a young age, with no mother figure in his life. He does not know who his mother is, and nor has his father ever told him. Being the son of the current Shinigami, he had expectations to live up to, and strives to do so, so long as living up to said expectations did not get in the way of what he believes is moral, right, and unquestionable. He grew up mostly alone, sharing his childhood with vey few people. When he was a young teenager, his father tried to pair him up with many Weapon partners, but he denied each because they would make him asymmetrical. He met Liz and Patti on the streets of Brooklyn when they tried to mug him. He was unphased and unharmed by their attacks, but instead fell in love with their weapon forms, seeing as they were perfectly symmetrical, and holding them he would be completely balanced. He took them home with him, and they share a mutual respect for him, being not only his Weapon partners but his two closest friends.
At the age of sixteen, he enrolled in his father’s school, despite the fact as a Shinigami, he had no real need to, and his powers and potential far outweighed that of his fellow students. In his time at Shibusen, he has made new friends – mostly the others in the elite unit of Spartoi – and has experienced many trials, both physical and mental (as far as a Shinigami being physically and mentally trialed can go). One of the most physically trying experiences he had was his battle with Mosquito in Operation: Capture Baba Yagba’s Castle. The immortal human posed plenty of a challenge for the Shinigami, particularly when he reverted to his powerful form from 400 years prior. Kid was pushed to the extent, and blasted by Mosquito’s traumatizing sound waves even to the point of losing his left arm. However, when he connected his first line of Sanzu, his arm was re-attached to his body. He then defeated Mosquito shortly before being trapped in the Book of Eibon by Noah, who wanted to become the next god of the world in Kid’s place. Kid remained in the book for two weeks before being rescued by Spartoi.
In the Book of Eibon, Kid succumed to the Madness of the Kishin’s power trapped in the book as well, losing his sanity and sense of order and symmetry, practically destroying anything he had mentally built to help him prepare to create a new world. Through the attempts of Spartoi, he was rescued after being brought back to his sane senses by Black*Star, who reminded him of a Death God’s responsibilities, and what Kid had said previously to put in place for a new world. Once escaping from the book, he connected two Sanzu Lines and defeated Noah alongside his monsters using his most powerful attack to date – Parent’s Seven Rays.
Kid helped lead the attack on the moon while hunting the Kishin when suddenly; he was ripped from the battlefeild, from everyone – including his own Weapons – and dropped in this strange new world.
